Summer has come and gone, and now Glee Club is back again for another year. Most things haven't changed: the Glee kids are still slushied, Sue Sylvester and Will Schuester are still butting heads, Emma is still OCD, and Principal Figgins is still, well, spineless. The kids in New Directions are ready to start winning, an they begin working harder than ever in order to finally get a chance to beat Vocal Adrenaline at Regionals.
After an invitational at McKinley, Vocal Adrenaline realizes that New Directions might just be the team to beat this year. Worried, Jesse St. James and the team, unbeknownst to Shelby, decide to spy on New Directions and figure out what to do in order to beat them. They plant cameras in the choir room, and begin to plot sabotage. Sure, they've always won, but they've never stooped quite this low to sabotage before. Will they get caught? What happens if Shelby finds out?
Quinn, Finn, and Puck are still trying to figure things out. With Beth being adopted, Quinn is trying to go back to being a regular teenager again. She's considering becoming a Cheerio again, but she is unsure about whether it's the right thing to do. Finn and Puck are trying to keep things cool. It's hard for Finn knowing that Puck knocked up his girlfriend, and Puck seems to feel guilty. It seems that this year is going to be difficult.
Meanwhile, Sue has the Cheerios on an unhealthy regime, and some of them are suffering because of it. She's determined to make this year her seventh national title, and she will, in true Sue Sylvester fashion, do anything to ensure a win. She's still scheming to bring down the Glee Club, but what else is new at McKinley?
Oh yes, this is going to be year unlike anything before.
